Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA)
Smart Dose Compliant (NEMA XR-29)

All Neusoft CT scanners comply with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard XR-29, also known as MITA Smart Dose.  XR-29 includes four key features of CT equipment that enable optimization or management of radiation dose delivery while also providing high quality medical images:

1. DICOM Radiation Dose Structured Reporting (RDSR) - enables recording of post-exam dose information in a standardized electronic format for inclusion in the patient record, promoting the establishment of diagnostic reference levels, as well as facility dose management and quality assurance.
2. CT Dose Check incorporates two features — dose notifications and dose alerts — that warn operators and physicians when dose exceeds established thresholds.
3. Automatic Exposure Controls (AEC) - automatically adjust the amount of radiation within prescribed bounds as needed to achieve desired image quality.
4. Pediatric and adult reference protocols provide set of pre-loaded parameters on a CT system that can be selected by the operator to complete a particular clinical task, such as capturing an image of the abdomen.

Included in the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014, beginning January 2016, all CT scanners not compliant with NEMA XR-29 will be subject to CMS reimbursement reductions of 5% (for 2016) and 15% (for 2017 and subsequent years).

Neusoft NeuViz 64-slice CT scanner

The NeuViz 64 is a low dose, 64-slice CT scanner with advanced cardiac imaging capabilities.  With its small installation footprint and power-efficient design, obtaining 64-slice technology has never been easier or more cost-effective.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Excellent image quality in all exams from industry's only Quad Sampling Flying Focal Spot technology (Philips Dunlee Simplicity X-ray tube platform)
  • Low dose imaging through ClearView IR iterative reconstruction technology - ALWAYS included standard
  • Advanced cardiac and perfusion imaging including applications on the AVW workstation

Operational Benefits:

  • Small installation footprint (250ft2) and lowest heat output simplifies site planning and minimizes startup costs
  • World-class service and applications support, including advanced remote capabilities, maximizes system uptime
  • Proven, reliable design and key components provide peace-of-mind

Economic Benefits:

  • Flexibility between capital and operational costs to meet budgetary needs
  • Invest in cardiac capabilities immediately or upgrade when desired
  • Promote "64-slice" capabilities to referring physicians to drive patient volumes

Neusoft NeuViz 16-slice CT scanner

The NeuViz 16-slice CT scanner is a low dose, radiology workhorse with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and highest Return-on-Investment (ROI) in the industry.  It provides the "sweet spot" of clinical, operational and economic value.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Excellent image quality in all exams from the highest sampling rate in the industry (up to 4640 views/revolution/detector element) and fastest scanning in the 16-slice class
  • Low dose imaging enabled by the highest detector dose efficiency in the 16-slice class
  • Newest 16-slice scanner platform on the market leverages nearly a decade of 16-slice experience for a simple, easy-to-use User Interface

Operational Benefits:

  • Smallest installation footprint in the industry (190ft2) simplifies site planning and minimizes startup costs
  • World-class service and applications support, including advanced remote capabilities, maximizes system uptime
  • Proven, reliable design and key components provide peace-of-mind

Economic Benefits:

  • Flexibility between capital and operational costs to meet budgetary needs
  • As CT reimbursement is independent of slice count, financial break-even time on the scanner purchase is accelerated by lower initial acquisition costs
