 TriHealth Enjoys the Flexibility Alpha Imaging Offers

Most people would assume that in order to get a variety of imaging products with high rankings in MD Buyline and KLAS one would have to seek out multiple companies.  Don Owens from TriHealth thinks otherwise.

TriHealth was formed in 1995, bringing together two of Cincinnati's finest health care organizations, Bethesda and Good Samaritan.  Through these two acute care hospitals and more than 130 sites of care, TriHealth provides a wide range of clinical, educational, preventive and social programs.
Don Owens has been with TriHealth for 16 years and is currently the Director of Imaging Services covering 14 imaging locations and 7 physician office practices. 
Over the past 6 years TriHealth has enjoyed an increasingly satisfying business relationship with the team at Alpha Imaging.  "I have had a good rapport with many different equipment providers.  And most perform quite well," explains Don.  "Alpha has the unique advantage of providing high end equipment with a small company, family-feel."
The relationship started over 6 years ago with the purchase of Hologic Selenia and subsequently Dimensions 3-D digital mammography products.  Based on the high level of satisfaction with that purchase, they gave Alpha an opportunity to work on other projects as well.
Ahead of the passing of the recent omnibus bill in Congress that reduces reimbursement for facilities using CR, TriHealth selected Alpha Imaging to be the vendor of choice in converting their Konica CR to the latest Konica Aero DR panels.  "It's an extensive project and we trusted Alpha to do the job right.  Their sales rep thoroughly laid out the details of the roll out with her team and implemented it without any issues," says Owens.  Alpha also has installed Shimadzu digital portables, Del digital x-ray and an Omega dedicated GI lab. 
Don continues, "We have been nothing but happy with the process and outcome.  Some companies do one thing really well.  Alpha continues to prove it can be at the top of their game with respect to many different modalities and services.  We are anxious to investigate more of the products in their portfolio in the future."
Alpha's service department also contributes to the experience.  "With anything in life, there are always going to be problems or issues," remarks Owens.  "Their service engineers are courteous and respond in a timely manner.   And they communicate very well, which is something that is often overlooked today."
